What is the best way to store my tarts?

In the bakery bags they come in, or any polypropylene bag, Glad Ware containers, or wax paper. Please do not use Ziplock bags or Saran Wrap these products will suck the scent out of your tarts. Please try and store your tarts in a dry dark space like a linen closet.

What is the shelf life of my tarts?

If stored correctly, soy tarts can last as long as a year. If your tarts are colored the color will fade after a few months. We refuse to add any harmful chemicals to make the color last, our first priority is your health.

How do I burn my tarts?

There are many methods people use, Cozy Up coffee mug warmers with a thick glass ramekin, and wax melter's designed to melt the wax properly.

What is the best type of tart burner to use?

We prefer using the tea light method with a *ceramic* burner, some may disagree but you get many more hours from the tarts. We do not recommend using oil burners (the ones with the glass dish, the temp reaches too high for soy wax) this will burn the scent off the wax in a matter of a few hours thus not reaping the benefit of a nicely scented home, dorm room or office.

How many hours of burn time do tarts have?

This all depends on what type of method you are using to melt your wax, we have reports of some lasting 72 hours and still going strong. On the average 12-20 hours per tart.

What should I do if I accidentally spill wax on myself?

Wash the area immediately with warm soap and water, some of our scents are not body safe, if irritation persists seek medical attention.

My son ate a tart thinking it was candy, what do I do?

Seek immediate medical attention.

Why are soy tarts better than paraffin tarts?

Soy wax burns clean and at lower temps to provide many more hours of scenting, soy wax also distributes evenly throughout your space vs. paraffin that goes straight up into the air. Buying soy wax helps support U.S. farmers, paraffin is petro based. There is no scientific proof backing this up, reports are biased in one way or another, this is just my opinion.

How long does it take to get my order once I place it?

This depends on the season. We keep the business days updated on the site, so when your placing an order you will have an idea how long the order will take. All of our tarts are hand poured at the time of your order to ensure freshness, we never keep a stock of grab and go tarts.

What items fit in the Flat Rate box?

You can fit quite a bit in these boxes, 10 dozen of tarts is the maximum.  

Why do you only sell tarts in large quantities? Can't you sell 6 or even individual tarts?

We sell tarts in larger quantities to provide you all with wholesale prices. If we were to sell smaller amounts it would take the same amount of time to make as larger quantities. If we sold smaller quantities we would be forced to charge retail. We don't believe anyone should pay $6.00 for 6 tarts when we can sell double the amount for a dollar more. Our main goal is to keep our costs down and your savings up.

How did you get started in this business?

Alyce was an avid candle burner at one time and noticed the soot all over her walls, under her cabinets, it was everywhere, she then switched to wax melts, but would only get about 3-5 hours out of them and at 1.25 each (at that time period now they run about 1.85 each) it added up. She spent many hours researching a cost effective way to make her home smell good for longer periods of time. Eventually she stumbled upon soy wax and fell in love immediately. 2 years of testing has paid off, she is able to make tarts that have a longer scent throw than many other manufacturers.

Do you sell my name or email address to other companies when I place an order?

Absolutely NOT! We believe that we all get enough junk mail as it is. All information we collect is used only to prepare your order and update you on sales, etc.

Do my tarts need to cure?

Yes, soy is a natural wax and needs to cure, by doing this you are binding the scent with the wax for a better hot throw. Recommended cure time is 10-14 days you can count the 2-3 day shipping time as cure days. Cini Buns is one scent that needs 14 full days cure time.

Are tarts expensive?
